Mud and water: Wet conditions reduce belt grip, causing slip. Sand and grit contaminate the clutch faces, accelerating belt wear from both sides.
Low-speed technical terrain: Rock crawling and slow technical riding keeps the CVT in its lower range where belt wrap is minimal and slip is highest. Ironically, going slow is harder on the belt than going fast at steady RPM.

Never blow out a paper filter with compressed air. It opens microscopic holes in the filter media. If the filter is loaded, replace it.
